Child of William de Burgh and Daughter O'Brien was: Sir Richard de Burgh [b], Lord of Connaught, Lord Lieut. of Ireland, "the Great", b 1198, Belfast, Antrim, Ireland, d bef 17 Feb 1242/43, Gascony, France. He md Egidia/Jill de Lacy 21 Apr 1225, Antrim, Ireland, daughter of Sir Walter de Lacy, Lord of Meath and Weobley, and Margaret/Margery de Braose.
Child of Walter de Burgh and Isabel Bigod was: Sir Richard de Burgh, Earl of Ulster, b abt 1259, d 29 Jul 1326. He md (perhaps) Margaret of Guines bef 27 Feb 1280/81, daughter of Arnold/Arnoul III of Guines, Count of Guines. Sir John de Burgh b abt 1290, d 18 Jun 1313. He md Elizabeth de Clare 30 Sep 1308, daughter of Sir Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Gloucester and Hertford, Lord Clare, Knight, and Joan of Acre Plantagenet. Sir William de Burgh, Earl of Ulster, b 17 Sep 1312, d 6 Jun 1333 (murdered). He md Maud de Lancaster aft 1 May 1327, daughter of Sir Henry of Lancaster, Earl of Lancaster, and Maud de Chaworth. Elizabeth de Burgh b abt 1340. She md Sir Lionel of Antwerp Plantagenet, Earl of Ulster, Duke of Clarence, 1352, son of Edward III Plantagenet, King of England, and Philippa of Hainault. NOTES: a. He was the brother, probably elder, of Hubert de Burgh. Their parentage has not been ascertained, although it is recorded that Hubert's mother was named Alice. Their father may have been one Walter de Burgh of Burgh-next-Aylsham, Norfolk. b. He had issue: (1) Richard, who died s.p. 1248; (2) Walter, Earl of Ulster; (3) William who died 1270, leaving a son William Liath; (4) Margery, who married Theobald Butler and was living 1 Mar 1252/53; (5) a daughter who was second wife of Gerald de Prendergast, by whom she had a daughter, aged 10 in Mar 1252; (6) Alice, who was to have dower from the lands of Muriardach Hobren, 17 Feb 1241/42; and (7) a daughter, who married Hamon de Valoynes, by whom she was mother of Mabel, wife of John de Mareys (Marsh/Marisco).
