NOTES:
a. Mr. Todd Farmerie, posting on soc.genealogy.medieval, has suggested this correction to Ancestral Roots; that the mother of Stephen of Blois was not Alix de Crepi, but rather Gundrada, Theobald III's second wife. Theobald's first wife, Gersende was repudiated, and it is assumed that there were no children from this marriage. Stephen of Blois was born long before Theobald married third wife, Alix de Crepi "before 1061". This is also reported in Europaische Stammtafeln ii, 46.
