Robert Fitz Walter [a] b abt 1078, Little Easton, Essex, England. He md Daughter de Hastings abt 1004, daughter of Robert de Hastings, Seneschal of Hastings. She was b abt 1086.

Sir William Fitz Robert de Hastings [b] b abt 1115, of Little Easton, Essex, England, d 1162. He md Hawise de Guerres abt 1134. She was b abt 1118.
Child of William Fitz Robert de Hastings and Hawise de Guerres was:

Robert de Hastings [c] b abt 1136, Little Easton, Essex, England. He md Maud de Flamville abt 1170, daughter of Roger de Flamville and Juetta de Arches. She was b abt 1145, of Thorpe Arch, Yorkshire, d 1219.
Child of Robert de Hastings and Maud de Flamville was:

Alice de Hastings [d] b abt 1175, Little Easton, Essex, England. She md [1] Ralph de Cornhill, and [2] Sir Godfrey de Lovaine abt 1199, son of Godfrey III of Louvain, Duke of Brabant, Count of Louvaine, and Imaine of Loos.

a. Probably the eldest son of Walter the Deacon, who was overlord of Wix in Essex, and also held in that county, Ferne, Purley, Little Easton, Estreford, and Coln. Robert and his siblings, Alexander de Waham, Walter Mascherel, and Edith, were founders of Wix Priory in Little Easton.

b. He had two sons, Robert, eldest son and heir, and Ralph.

c. Robert was twice married, first to a daughter of William de Windsor, and secondly to Maud, daughter of Roger de Flamville, and sister and coheiress to Hugh de Flamville.

d. Heiress to her father, she brought Little Easton to her marriage to Godfrey de Lovaine. There is disagreement between The Complete Peerage and Ancestral Roots concerning her mother, the former source stating her mother to be the first wife, while the latter source, as well as other contemporary sources, state her mother to have been Maud de Flamville. Chronology also supports Alice as daughter by the second wife.
