NOTES:
a. There is discrepancy in Wilbour's Little Compton Families in that he is stated to have died 15 Feb 1732, yet his will, which is shown, was proved 19 May 1724. In it he leaves son Nathaniel 15 pounds, son Samuel all lands not already given to him by deed, daughter Elizabeth, wife of Wiliam Ladd, a cow, daughter Mary Tompkins 30 shillings and a bed and 4 pounds borrowed by her, daughter Mercy, wife of William Bowditch, a ewe sheep, daughter Priscilla, wife of William Lyndon, a cow, daughter Sarah, wife of Benjamin Gifford, a cow, daughter Rebecca Tompkins, a cow and a bed, daughter Hannah, wife of Timothy Gifford, a cow, and to son Samuel's three sons, Joseph, John, and Christopher, any estate remaining.
