According to Douglas Richardson in a posting on SGM, Amauri was the son of an unknown individual by a daughter of Ralph de Verdun, Lord of Bloxham in 1176, still living in 1189, he son of Walter de Verdun, Lord of Bloxham in 1166, died before 1176, when his son Ralph was holding Bloxham, he son of Ralph de Verdun, living 1136/1144.
