John Barker [a] b abt 1610, (poss. Kent) England, d 14 Dec 1652, Marshfield, Plymouth, MA. He md Anna Williams abt 1640, daughter of John Williams and Anna. She was b abt 1616, of Scituate, Plymouth, MA, d 16 Feb 1657/58, Barnstable, Plymouth, MA. Children of John Barker and Anna Williams were:
Deborah Barker b 1643, prob Marshfield, Plymouth, MA, d Mar 1732/33, Middleborough, Plymouth, MA. She md William Barden Feb 1660/61. NOTES: a. He came to Plymouth with his brother, Robert, about 1628, and was in Duxbury, Marshfield in 1638. He was a brickmason and ferryman by vocation, and in 1638/39, took William Barden into apprenticeship to learn the trade, said William later marrying John's daughter, Deborah Barker. He was Freeman 5 Jun 1651. He also owned a ferry over the Jones River, where he drowned on 14 Dec 1652, at a relatively young age. Administration was granted to widow Anna, 17 Dec 1652.
